Sinopsi La vida y poesía de Gustavo Adolfo Becquer

Following the success with the series CLASSIC EXPLAINED TO CHILDREN (11 Titles already), we were requested to do something about poetry too. Since poetry is not able for adaptations, we thought it could be interesting to choose those poets with extraordinary life and introduce the poetry with the tale of their stories. Professor Rosa Navarro Durán brings in the life of the greatest universal poets. They have such an extraordinary life that looks like a story tale. And meanwhile she tales us her life, she introduces us into their poetry. Gustavo Adolfo Domínguez Bastida, who would later adopt the name of Bécquer, belonging to his noble ancestors from Flanders, was born in Seville on 17 February 1836. Being an orphan since a very early age, he developed an extraordinary sensitivity towards life. He is the romantic poet who has left the deepest imprint in Spanish poetry. Having suffered tuberculosis, he died in Madrid in 1870.
