Es por tal razón que nos presenta en su obra al teatro bajo la arena porque, según el dramaturgo, es el teatro real, en el cual él expone el homosexualismo, que es el tema de la vida que quiere que sea de impacto para el público. A través del teatro bajo la arena y el homosexualismo pretende que la gente se de cuenta de la existencia del amor homosexual y lo acepte para que aprenda a vivir con ello.Federico García Lorca, poeta y dramaturgo español. Su asesinato durante los primeros días de la Guerra Civil española hizo de él una víctima especialmente notable del franquismo, lo que contribuyó a que se conociera su obra. Sin embargo, sesenta años después del crimen, su valoración y su prestigio universal permanecen inalterados. Nació en Fuente Vaqueros (Granada) y, entre 1919 y 1928, vivió en la Residencia de Estudiantes donde se hizo amigo del pintor Salvador Dalí, el cineasta Luis Buñuel y el también poeta Rafael Alberti, entre otros, a quienes cautivó con sus múltiples talentos. Viajó a Nueva York y Cuba en 1929-30. Volvió a España y escribió obras teatrales que le hicieron muy famoso.El teatro de Lorca es, junto al de Valle-Inclán, el más importante escrito en castellano durante el siglo XX.
